A [[Value Stream Map]] is a [[Lean Manufacturing]] technique that maps a process and tries to identify steps that introduce [[Waste]]. For each process step two important values are characterized:

* [[Production Lead Time]]
* [[Value Added Time]]

The ratio between [[Production Lead Time]] and [[Value Added Time]] should not be bigger than 5.
